Why not follow Ford's example, and mass produce a modern version of the tri-five Chevy, cosmetically identical, but modernized in other respects. Don't make the same mistake as Ford did with their Thunderbird iteration, which styling wise bore little resemblance to the genuine artical.

I'm 77 years young as a teenager we saw them at the northern Wisconsin state fair at chipawa falls Wisconsin in 1956.

My mom's parents had a 1957 Nomad new yellow with white top. She is the oldest of 11 kids. they were lucky to have a 4 bedroom 2 bath lake house, as well as a 6 bed room 2 story house on 40 acres. Those were the day of a single income in central Wisconsin and you owned your own business delivering fuel oil, and running 2 gas stations.

In '65, they tried on one-up this ad with one where they put an Impala on a rock in the ocean. It was battered and nearly washed away, losing a rear wheel cover (which plainly shows in the ad).

Those were the days where you can ACTUALLY seat 9. Today you need a big full size SUV and I bet some of them are cramped with 9 passengers. My brother had a used late 70's Buick station wagon. Now that was a roomy car! Only 14mpg but a real smooth ride. 😀
